My Thoughts about Wisdom of the Oracle Deck
Wisdom of the Oracle was the very first oracle deck that I purchased. To this day, it remains one of my all-time favorite decks and a staple of my oracle card readings. I feel very intuitively connected to these cards.
This beautiful product by Colette Baron-Reid features a thoughtful them and stunning artwork. The overall theme of Wisdom of the Oracle is really based on the journey of life, happiness, and spirituality. According to the author, the deck combines elements from tarot, the I Ching, and the Norse runes. I can see these elements sprinkled in, but I really feel that she has created something completely new.
The quality is well above average compared to others. I consider this the “Goldy Locks” of Oracle decks. It’s not too big, but not too small. The cards aren’t too thin yet not too thick. Everything about this deck is ‘just right!’
What I like Most about this Deck
The relationship between the artwork and the theme is beautiful. The artwork on each card is literal enough to match up with the theme of that card. It is also offers plenty of variety and detail that allows for intuitive reading as well. Wisdom of the Oracle covers many generalities of life events and situations. It is a great deck for ‘past-present-future’ readings and even one-card pulls for daily messages.
What I like Least about this Deck
Truthfully, there really isn’t anything that I dislike about Wisdom of the Oracle. It is the perfect deck for beginners as well as experienced intuitive readers. If I am nitpicking, there are a few cards that I don’t connect with . It is to be expected in any oracle deck I guess. What’s interesting is that I have done many readings with this deck and those particular cards rarely get pulled.
